12 Steps to University

To get into the right university for you and meet your full potential takes time and it takes planning.

There is lots of information out there and if I am are honest, you can find out about most of it yourself. But, there lots and lots to go through. It can be challenging to find out what information is right for you.

It is no secret. There is no magic wand. And no-one can promise you anything. In all the years I have been a University Guidance Counsellor, I have heard on a yearly basis that someone, knows someone or something and can promise you entry to prestigious universities. The truth is, the only person that can get you into the university of your dreams is YOU.

These 12 steps to university are essentially step by step instructions of what prospective university applicants must do and when they are in the planning phase, application creation phase, submitting phase and final phase of university applications.

First thing to keep in mind is that it will take time! You cannot just throw together an application and expect the best. If you do not put the effort in, why should you succeed over someone that has.

The 12 steps are pretty straightforward, and are really the backbone of what I have my own students and parents do as a university guidance counsellor.
